Your Self-Care Journey

For all women, regardless of age, self-care is not just an option—it’s a necessity. Regular self-exams and yearly clinical screenings are crucial steps in detecting breast cancer early. Remember, the earlier it’s found, the easier it can be treated.

Here’s a personal story that highlights the importance of vigilance:

"I’m a survivor, diagnosed in 2011 with DCIS in my right breast. Though no lump had formed, a mammogram revealed suspicious cells. After a lumpectomy came back with no clean border cells a contrast MRI revealed the need for a mastectomy. I received the diagnosis just before a family road trip for Thanksgiving. Caught at stage 0, my treatment was swift and effective. The dedicated team at the Dubin Breast Center in NYC supported me every step of the way."

The Healing Power of Exercise

Exercise is a powerful tool not only for maintaining physical health but also for supporting mental well-being. Post-surgery and treatment, it can help regain strength, improve mood, and foster a sense of community and support. We invite you to commit to regular exercise—whether it's a gentle walk or a more rigorous workout—because every step counts.

Connection and Support

Education and community are integral parts of breast cancer awareness. Connect with organizations such as Breast Cancer Foundation and American Cancer Society for more information and support. These resources offer invaluable knowledge and can connect you with others on similar journeys.

Take Action

Join us in spreading awareness and hope. Commit to regular screenings, exercise, and self-care. Share your stories and inspire others. Together, we can support each other in our journeys towards health, wellness, and transformation.

Call to Action

This October, make a commitment to yourself and your loved ones. Pledge to move more, learn more, and support each other. Whether through joining a local support group, volunteering, or simply reaching out to someone affected by breast cancer, your actions can create ripples of change.

Remember, taking care of yourself is the first step in making a difference. Let's move forward, together.
